Trace Analytics is accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), Certficate #0322-01. They are an unbiased third-party laboratory with no financial interest in other compressed air products.

ANALYTICAL TECHNIQUES
Trace uses a gas chromatograph/mass spectrometer (GC/MS) for the analysis of gases and moisture. Condensed hydrocarbons (oil mist) are determined by using an analytical balance and particle size by microscopy. The primary reason for selection of these techniques was superior accuracy and precision capabilities. These are expensive methods due to associated costs for the instrumentation, maintenance, NIST traceable standards, and trained personnel required to operate the instruments.

QUALITY CONTROL
With each batch of 10 samples, certified standards are used to calibrate the instrumentation at the range of interest. Solvent andmedia blanks are analyzed to ensure contamination-free results. Two spiked samples are analyzed with each batch of samples from which precision and accuracy data are calculated and displayed on the AirCheck Report.
