Hydro Testing Program
Cylinder
and
Valve Testing is an important part
in keeping the performance of your cylinders at their best. Air Source
One, Inc. provides all the services necessary to keep your cylinders
and
valves reconditioned and at the best working standards. With a one week
turn around time, your cylinders are hydrostatic tested, your valves
are
tested, the cylinder is visually inspected by two sources, the valves
are
re-inserted and your cylinder is ready to be filled.

Valve
Testing
The
valves are individually
tested for
any leaks
or damage that could interfere with the performance of the cylinder. If
a valve needs a repair or overhaul, the customer is notified and
repairs
are done.

Visual
and
Visual Plus
Inspections
When
the cylinders are back
from hydro
testing,
they are visually inspected for sustained load cracking, external
damage
or corrosion, internal pitting or corrosion and any irregularities.
They
are not only inspected with a fiber optics internal inspection light
but
also with the Visual Plus. The Visual Plus uses eddy currents to
thoroughly
inspect the threaded neck region of aluminum cylinders.
